Widening demand for paralegals

Law touches nearly every aspect of our lives from buying a car, to getting married or divorced, to the rights and responsibilities of citizens. If you are curious and enjoy research and investigation, you may want to consider a career in the law. Paralegals work side by side with attorneys and continue to assume a growing number of tasks in the nation's legal offices. Paralegals are found in all types of organizations, including law firms, corporate legal departments, insurance agencies, and various levels of government.

Employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations through 2016. And in 2006, full-time, wage and salary paralegals and legal assistants had median annual earnings, including bonuses, of $43,040. What our graduates say

"The education I received definitely helped me obtain a position as a paralegal in the area of law I was seeking within a short period of time after I graduated. I have been a paralegal for over seven years now and love it. My oldest son didn't think anyone would hire me at 40 years old, which is the age I was when I graduated, and he now realizes that it's never to late to learn and grow."
~ Kim Miller

"My education at Woodbury has opened many doors for me and created opportunities I didn't even know existed."
~ Steve Newton

" Woodbury College gave me a sense of professionalism and confidence in myself I never had before."
~ Judy Liner

"As a paralegal working primarily in personal injury litigation and family law, I draw on the skills and legal knowledge I acquired at Woodbury every day. I recommend Woodbury to anyone interested in a career in the legal field."
~ Leslie S. Mooney
